✨ Jacksonville Newborn Session: A Sweet 6‑Week‑Old Baby Boy & His Beautiful Crew
Welcoming a baby at six weeks old brings a completely different kind of magic — brighter eyes, stronger expressions, and the sweetest little personality already peeking through. This session was exactly that.
Mom chose a neutral palette so I used browns, whites, tans, and soft sage green. I also asked her to take some photos of their nursery to see what colors would work best. These images will blend seamlessly into their neutral space, becoming timeless pieces of art that feel right at home.
At six weeks, I tend to set expectations of what their baby may or may not tolerate with parents, but never dismiss that we can get sleepy poses. Babies tend to be more alert at 6 weeks, but as a skilled newborn photographer, I have my methods: I use a heater, sound machine, a pacifier (if baby will take it), and have plenty of patience. A nice bottle also helps- but patience and setting expectations is a must. Because most babies appreciate being swaddled even at 6 weeks, it's easier for me to get them to sleep more soundly. The silver package offers wrapped poses, and if the baby permits, I do use outfits to achieve more looks.
Little man did fantastic and slept like a log, so many setups and outfits were used.
This baby boy isn’t just adored — he’s celebrated by three older siblings who were eager to be part of the session. The family portion was a mix of chaos, giggles, wiggles, and the most tender moments, exactly what life with multiple little ones looks like.
There were moments where all four kids snuggled in close, moments where someone wandered off, and moments where the older siblings gently held their baby brother with so much pride. Those real, unscripted interactions are what make family portraits so meaningful.
