A Sweet New Beginning: Baby Boy #2’s Newborn Session in St. Johns, FL
There is something extra special about welcoming a family back into my studio for another newborn session. Getting to document their growing family is such an honor, and this sweet session in St. Johns, FL, was no exception! I was so excited to be invited back to photograph baby number two—and another little boy!
Watching a family grow and getting to capture these precious milestones is one of my favorite parts of being a newborn photographer. It feels like just yesterday we were celebrating their first little one, and now he has officially been promoted to big brother!
A Neutral Color Palette with the Sweetest Touches
For this little guy’s newborn session, Mom chose a beautiful combination of blues and greens. We also incorporated some soft fall-inspired colors to add a cozy, seasonal touch while keeping everything neutral, timeless, and classic.
I love working with families to create a color palette that feels personal to them while still keeping the focus on their newest little love. Soft colors, delicate textures, and simple setups are always a favorite of mine because they create images that will look beautiful hanging on your walls for years to come.
Baby boy did an amazing job throughout his session! We captured a variety of sweet newborn portraits, including classic bean bag poses and adorable prop poses. These are all included in my Gold Newborn Photography Package, giving families a wonderful variety of images and setups to choose from. From those tiny curled-up poses to the sweetest little details, newborn photography captures a stage of life that passes far too quickly. Before you know it, those tiny fingers and toes are bigger, those sleepy stretches turn into wiggly movements, and your newborn is no longer quite so little. That is exactly why I love what I do!
Big Brother Steals a Little Spotlight
One of my favorite parts of this session was bringing big brother into the photos. He was so happy to hold his new baby brother, and those moments were absolutely precious!
There is something incredibly meaningful about documenting the very beginning of a sibling relationship. These images become part of your family's story, reminding you of the moment your first baby became a big brother and your family grew in the sweetest way.
We also included Momma's mom for a few special photos with the new baby. I always welcome grandparents to join in during newborn sessions! These photographs are such beautiful keepsakes, not only for parents but also for the grandparents who love these little ones so much.
Someday, these photos will mean even more. They will be reminders of the people who were there, the love that surrounded your baby, and the special season when your family welcomed someone new.
