Nothing makes me happier than getting the call that one of my newborn clients is turning one! As a photographer, it's my special task to capture all the moments that parents want to remember. I get to freeze time and capture their smiles, their little two teeth on the bottom row (aka rat teeth as I like to call them), their personality and just the fun that comes with these types of shoots.

Among my milestone package, I offer custom cake smash themes or parents can choose a timeless balloon garlands of your color and style (for example, with or without florals or greens). For this smash, Mom wanted a summer theme and we landed initially on strawberries, but quickly moved to Strawberry Shortcake. As a 90's baby, this made me smile! How many of us watched the beloved show growing up?!

I always tell parents, you are welcome to bring 2 outfits (but also borrow from my client closet) and have a cake. While some cakes you see online are simply AMAZING, the reality is most kids don't really touch them. I believe it's because some kids don't like the feel of being dirty or may not be used to tasting sugar. Either way- a simple 5 or 7 inch Publix white cake with a cute topper works just fine. Baby Emilia did not have any interest in the cake; as I suspected, she didn't want to touch it. I did luckily, get to capture her in one or two photos at least appearing to be interested in the cake though!

See below for some of Mom's favorite images!

Not only did we have multiple outfit changes, but I also got to use my strawberry bonnet that looked adorable! I hope you enjoyed viewing the shoot photos. If you're interested in booking a session, inquire on my main page.
