Five Adorable Frenchie Puppies: A Fall Photoshoot with MJ Grand in St. Johns County, FL
There’s nothing quite like a studio full of tiny Frenchie wrinkles, puppy snuggles, and a little bit of puppy chaos! Recently, we had the sweetest visitors in the studio here in St. Johns County, Florida—a litter of five 3-week-old French Bulldog puppies from MJ Grand who came in for their very first professional portraits.
Meet Lorraine, Bubble, Maggie, De Lorean, and Doe!
This adorable crew included three beautiful girls—Lorraine, Bubble, and Maggie—and two handsome boys, De Lorean and Doe. At just three weeks old, they were already showing off their own unique features and personalities, making this session extra special.
A Little Fall Magic
For their individual portraits, we brought out a warm burnt-orange fall backdrop that perfectly complemented their little faces, wrinkles, and coloring. Each puppy had their own moment in front of the camera, and watching their personalities come through was so much fun.
Of course, newborn-style puppy photography isn't just about finding the perfect pose. At three weeks old, these little Frenchies had their own ideas about when they wanted to sleep, wiggle, snuggle, and explore!
After their individual portraits, each puppy got their own adorable puppy wrap session on a soft beige floor. The neutral setup kept the focus right where it belonged—on those sweet little faces and all the tiny details that make each puppy unique.
Five Puppies, Five Personalities
One of our favorite parts of photographing a litter is seeing how different each puppy can be, even when they're all siblings.
Lorraine, Bubble, Maggie, De Lorean, and Doe each had their own little quirks and expressions. Some were more interested in sleeping, some were ready to wiggle, and others seemed perfectly content to soak up all the attention.
And then came the group photos. The Snuggliest Little Crew
Getting five 3-week-old puppies together for portraits takes a little patience—but when they finally settle into a puppy pile, it is absolutely worth it! These five couldn't have been any cuter snuggling together. Tiny paws, sleepy faces, squishy Frenchie wrinkles, and five little personalities all bundled together made for some of our favorite images from the session. The Secret to a Successful Puppy Photoshoot Photographing young puppies takes more than just a camera and a cute backdrop. It takes patience, warmth, white noise, and plenty of puppy love.
We used a little heat to help keep these tiny pups comfortable, soothing white noise to create a calm environment, and lots of patience as we worked with each puppy at their own pace.
At this age, the goal isn't to rush the session. It's about creating a comfortable environment where the puppies can relax, snuggle, and naturally settle into those precious poses.
And sometimes, the best photos happen in between the poses!
