Celebrating a baby’s first birthday is such a special milestone, and one of the sweetest ways to capture it is with a custom cake smash session! For this Jacksonville cake smash, mom dreamed of a playful “Donut Grow Up” theme featuring pastel rainbows, and sweet treats—and I absolutely loved bringing it all to life. We styled the set with a dreamy purple backdrop underneath a pastel rainbow balloon garland. Two custom arches framed the setup, filled with sweet treats like candy, ice cream, donuts, and colorful lollipops, creating the perfect backdrop for this whimsical first birthday photo session.
Baby girl looked like a little princess in her custom couture gown and three additional dresses throughout the shoot. Props, outfit changes, and the detailed setup made every part of this session feel unique and magical. What makes these photos even more special is knowing that this sweet girl was a little shy during her session. Thanks to the love and encouragement from mom, dad, and grandma, we captured the happiest smiles and precious expressions. And unlike many babies who aren’t sure what to do with the cake, this birthday girl actually enjoyed a few little tastes!
